Senior center Uche Egesionu had a monster game as the
Trinity Catholic boys basketball team overwhelmed host South
Shore Christian, 84-35, in non-league action last night.
The Falcons improved to 6-0 this season on the strength of
Egesionu's 35 points, 19 rebounds, six steals and four
assists. Egesionu hit 16-of-19 shots in the effort.
Trinity had big nights all around. Sophomore Jon Lopes
netted 14 points and three assists, senior Sterling
McDowell-Ashe had 12 points and six assists, senior Stephen
Burckardt had 10 points, seven rebounds and four steals and
senior Gregory Raye had eight points.
The Falcons face their biggest test of the season on Friday
when they host Austin Prep in a Catholic Central League
contest.

Girl's Basketball
NCC 44, Trinity Catholic 30
A late comeback bid was not enough to lift the Trinity
Catholic girls basketball team past North Cambridge Catholic
in a Catholic Central League contest.
TC trailed, 31-15, entering the fourth quarter when it
tallied as many points in eight minutes as it did in the
first 32. Unfortunately for the Falcons, only five points
scored in the second and third quarters put them too far
behind to make up the deficit.
Sophomore Dora Ocampo had 16 points, three steals and three
assists. Junior Molly Stone had six points, seven rebounds,
three assists and two steals, junior Jennifer Smallwood had
six points and freshman Nicole Civitarese had seven rebounds
and three steals.

Latin Academy 8, Trinity Catholic 4
With sophomore goalie Sean Moccia on the sideline with a
concussion suffered in Wednesday's tie with Pope John, the
Trinity Catholic hockey team had trouble stopping host Latin
Academy in a non-league game on Saturday.
The Falcons (4-1-1), who beat LA 4-0 with Moccia in net
earlier this season, do not have another experienced goalie
in the program
Junior Tim Foley led the offense from the blue line with two
goals and two assists.
